Letter to Labour MP<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dear \u2014<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am aware that being an MP is not an easy job.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am also aware that most people who go into this sort of political work genuinely wish to make things better.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why I am asking you to reconsider your support for the Labour Party.  Your present party leader and his cabinet appear to be declaring war on the British working classes – of all colours and ethnicities.  Whatever their origins, if they object to Labour Party policies, they are charactised as \u201cFar Right\u201d and dismissed as \u201cthugs\u201d when you must know that with very minor exceptions, they are nothing of the sort.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you will also know from a recent incident, Labour Party members and supporters are also guilty of extremist and murderous rhetoric.  I am not referring only to the recently arrested Kent Councillor but all those around him, cheering him on.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am sure you will remember that after the Sun newspaper lied about the people of Liverpool caught in the Hillsborough disaster, they – and indeed the whole population of Merseyside – are still refusing to buy that newspaper 30 years later.  The British working classes have long memories and the present behaviour of the Labour government will similarly not be forgotten.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am asking you to put any pressure you can on your leaders, to speak out in Parliament and in public, and even to leave the Party if necessary.  Your political career might depend on how you act now but it is even more important to consider the political health of this country.  You backbench MPs are now our last hope for some control over what appears to be developing into a government of lies.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why I am asking you to redouble your efforts to call to account the Labour Party, both in Parliament and in the various media<\/em>. Keir Starmer and his cabinet appear to be declaring war  on the British working classes – of all colours and ethnicities.  Whatever their origins, if they object to Labour Party policies, they are charactised as \u201cfar right\u201d and dismissed as \u201cthugs\u201d.  You must know that with very minor exceptions, they are nothing of the sort.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately the news media, possibly under pressure, are relaying the Labour Cabinet message almost word for word.  It is therefore up to you to contradict this unfair characterisation of ordinary working people in any way you can.  Your political career might even depend on your courage in speaking up but more importantly you must consider the hope you can offer for the political health of this country.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You backbench MPs are now our last hope for some control over what appears to be developing into a government of lies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
